The most common methods are electroplating, hot-dip galvanizing and mechanical plating on the surface of fasteners. A covering layer is formed on the surface of fasteners. After surface treatment, fasteners can show a more beautiful appearance, and the anti-corrosion ability of fasteners themselves will be improved. The main purpose is to make the fastener itself to obtain anti-corrosion ability, in order to increase the reliability and adaptability of fastener use, so the quality of fastener surface treatment, more mainly is to check whether the fastener's anti-corrosion ability is effectively increased, and whether the increase range is in line with the expected requirements. The following will be a small edition of liquid filter for you to introduce the common methods of fastener surface treatment!

1. Plating of fasteners
Electroplating of fasteners refers to immersing the parts that need to be electroplated into a specific aqueous solution, which will contain some deposited metal compounds. In this way, after passing an electric current through the aqueous solution, the metal substances in the solution will be precipitated and attached to the immersed part of the fastener. The plating of fasteners generally includes galvanized, copper, nickel, chromium, copper-nickel alloy, etc.

2. Hot dip galvanizing of fasteners
Hot dip galvanizing of fasteners is to dip fasteners of carbon steel components into a bath of dissolved zinc with a heat of about 510℃. In this way, the iron-zinc alloy on the surface of fasteners will be changed into passivated zinc, so as to obtain the surface treatment effect. The price of hot-dip galvanizing of fasteners is higher than electroplating, about 1.5 to 2 yuan per kilogram.

3. Mechanical plating of fasteners
Mechanical plating of fasteners means to impact the surface of fasteners with powder of coated metal by specific physical and chemical means, so that coated metal can form a coating on the surface of fasteners by cold welding to achieve surface treatment effect. Mechanical plating of fasteners is mainly suitable for spare parts such as screws, nuts and gaskets.
